Hi Friends,
Sam Lovall will be presenting on his recent book “Mud Lake” this evening (Wednesday at 7pm) in the Meridian Historical Village (Chapel).

“Mud Lake is a collection of short adventure stories about children living in Haslett, Michigan, during the 1960s and 70s, when kids were allowed to freely explore the natural world without adult instruction or supervision. These stories establish the importance of natural areas as places for young people to experience mental and physical challenges in an authentic place with real plants, wildlife, and people.”
A dialogue with the author was recorded on Zoom this morning and is available here. Mud Lake, also known as Wildlife Lake, is just a stone skip or two from Haslett High School and remains a treasured natural area in Haslett.
Next week, Emma Campbell will share a seasonal update related to the Meridian Conservation Corps!*
Join us on Zoom from 9-10 AM at this link every Wednesday.
