Tom,
Happy New Year!
The year is off to a good start at FestHQ, as all of our office team members have made a green resolution for 2016.
I’ve resolved not to waste food, astounded by the fact that 50% of the food we produce never even reaches the table. For me, this means planning meals each week, using up all leftovers, and learning
to love the freezer! This resolution was inspired by the hugely entertaining documentary
Just Eat It –
catch our free screening next week on Jan. 13.
Check out all of the
team’s green resolutions and let us know yours on
Facebook or
Twitter and we can spur each other on throughout the month.
It seems that El Niño has finally arrived - the perfect reason to escape to your local cinema. Our Screening Committee are happy to stay indoors this month and continue reviewing the many film submissions
for the Festival. Throughout this month, we get together to discuss, share and watch films on the big screen at the Ninth Street Independent Film Center (pictured above).
Stay posted for the first film announcements in February and the full Festival Program Launch on March 15!
Until then, see you at the movies.
