the imperial legions of rome an julius caesar put to use fascist
propaganda plus brainwashing techniques to preclude thought on how the
roman legions could be defeated .

for example the well known roman discipline could have had them march
into a series of covered pits equipped with powerfull spikes made from
steel. the gauls, english, and scottish and irish would know the
reputation of he romans and plan for concealed pits accordingly.

there is also the question of the roman close quarters effiecency .
the scottish, gauls, and english would design crossbows with three or
more heavy arrows to punch through the massed ranks of the romans.
i notice artillary was put to use neither by the romans or the
defenders in depictins in films .i find this strange .
other methods the gauls and such could have used werecylinders with
arrows in them set up to fire multiple arrows
by cranking a steel crank. much like the american civil war gatling
gun except powering arrows with attachedstrings.
the gauls and such could also have used heavy arroe launchers shoulder
mounted weapons which propel a powerfull cross bow bolt from a coil
nside the arrow launcher. in addition large spiked balls of iron could
be rolled toward the romans. boulders or bowling balls could have even
been usefull.
