the subject of mac guyver episode log jam and the environmentalist amy in the episode

There is a scene in the episode log jam of the mac guyver series where
an environmentalist by the name of amy has trouble convincing people
in a diner that logging is destructive of entire forests .

the argument that a forest was a source of free food with acorns and
nuts growing on trees might have worked better than the poster she
asked be displayed .

also suggesting to the patrons that they picture someone walking into
the diner and saying oh yeah we are going to chop the diner down and
sell the wood to china and we also rrequire crews to chop down the
malls across america to sell the wood to china.
also saying things like i don't give a damn this is your favourite
eating spot next time you try to stop me destroying the store you shop
for food at i will run you over with my logging truck.
pretty much what one of the loggers said when amy made the attempt to
stop logging.
of course the logger expressed he did not give a dame about a spotted
owl .same thing though.

I couldn't tell if the environmentalist Amy actually mention "chopping down the diner" and selling the wood to China or if that was you suggesting that it is what she should of said!  Of course, that IS what she should have said.  Good way of putting it, too.  Here we would talk about chantarelles and various local berries, since you'd need an oak forest for Acorns.   There is a local group very interested in using our local forest as a food source, they put articles in the paper now and than, which I am sure you have noticed
