Help us plan a Deepwater Horizon 1 Year Commemoration Event next week!

Hello,
This is Katie Parrish with Oceana writing on my Gmail account. I just wanted to drop you all a line and let you know that next week we will be hosting meet ups in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton next week (Tuesday-Thursday) to brainstorm and plan a commemoration event for the 1 year anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon oil disaster on April 20th. I'd love to get as many folks as possible involved and helping us brainstorm on how we can make the event great!
There will be events in Washington D.C., Maine, Boston, North Carolina, South Carolina, South Florida and the Florida Keys. Our plan is to have a street-theatre style mock oil spill to send the message, "What if it happened here?" We will be having a large tarp to show what our coastlines would look like, people dressed up in hazardous material suits, tacky-tourists covered in oil and whatever other ideas we come up with at the meeting!

Fort Lauderdale:
Where: Brew Urban Cafe, 209 SW 2nd Ave in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, near the intersection of 2nd Street. The coffee shop is located closer to the river on the corner.

Miami:
Where: Starbucks at 475 S. Dixie Highway/US-1 in Coral Gables, just south of the intersection of Lejune Rd.
