Thank you for your email! I am a volunteer at the cemetery garden and work with Deirdre Kane who coordinates the Lawrenceville Organic Community Gardens. We actually approached the Cemetery earlier this month with the hope that we could establish two honey bee hives on the grounds. Unfortunately, the Cemetery is not permitting beekeeping on their grounds at this time. Please know that we are working to green Lawrenceville in a variety of ways, one of which is the hope of establishing an apiary in the community. This is a long way from fruition however, but if you'd like to stay tuned or get involved with our gardening initiatives, please consider joining our facebook group by clicking here.
I'm sure you're already familiar with Burgh Bees but, if not, I might suggest contacting them to see if they're aware of any places you could keep your bees this summer. I'm not sure if the Homewood apiary has space but it would be worth asking.
