Dear Green Labbers,

                In case you have time and you want to learn the basics & intricacies of filtered fume hoods, Erlab gives a good overview, opportunities and limitations, and then gets into the weeds as well.  FFH can be a good solution in teaching labs or prep rooms where occupants use microchemistry volumes a few hours per week. This is especially important if you have new laboratory construction, and can install these instead of ducted fume hoods, saving A LOT on first costs, and then operational savings going forward. 

In my experience at UC Davis, Erlab provided thoughtful advice and counsel as well.
