Hey Fam,
Though this article and study are geared towards the textile industry, it does a good job of explaining the rebound effect of circular economy advances and explains how technological advances can sometimes backfire. This is something we all need to be aware of and also explore how this may be happening within the scientific supply sector.
Also, for those of you coming to I2SL next month who are interested in topics such as this one, I’d like to invite you to “The Certified Most Sustainable Conference Talk: Greenwashing 101” Tuesday at 2 pm with myself and Lindsey Yazbek (UT Austin). We’ll be exploring the messaging around sustainable action and sustainable products and how to avoid falling for misleading marketing. Hope to see you there.
Best,
Star

Hi Star,
I’m not attending the conference this year, but I know your talk will be fascinating and I’d love to be notified of the next opportunity to catch it if and when that occurs.
