Hi fam,
We've known for many years that scientific suppliers have alterative coolers, usually cardboard, ready to use for institutions who have policies prohibiting eps foam (styrofoam) from coming onto campus. Thermofisher told us this during the supplier panel we hosted at the I2SL conference back in 2017 (?).
What is less clear is WHICH institutions have policies regarding eps foam coolers? We are working towards implementing such a policy at UGA and are trying to identify institutions who already have gone through this process.
If you know of institutions who prohibit or limit eps foam coolers on campus PLEASE reach out.
Many thanks,
Star
