-Colorado has turned more to green/sustainable/clean energies.
-Would likely support a Foco Green Energy Economy
-Recently created New Energy Economy and Governors Energy Office
-Cooperation between state and Foco ex. FortZED
-HB10-1001 Mandates that renewable energy must be at 30%
-This mandate puts Colorado second in pushing green energy
-Over 55 Green related bills since Ritter took office
-HB10-1333 Provide grants to provide green job training
-Some Bills are for energy efficiency by going to Natural gas from
Coal.
-Other Bills provide incentives like tax deductions rebates etc.
-CO is fourth highest Green Job Concentration in the Nation.
-CSU is part of CO Renewable Energy Collaboratory
-Governors Energy Office Created in 1977 brought back in 2007
-GEO provides rebates, incentives, and education on how to get them
-Will not pursue as vigorously with Republicans in control of State
House.

Definition: Colorado State Government- The major governing body of the
State of Colorado. It is a major stakeholder in Fort Collins. This
is especially true in what it provides, how it works with, and what it
takes from Fort Collins especially in the area of sustainability. It
has shown interest in providing incentives, education, mandates, and
research both for those who provide green products and those who
consume green products. Currently, it would likely support a green
energy economy in Fort Collins as it already has a New Energy Economy
and Governors Energy Office.

Definition:Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins-city council (word this how you prefer)

Views:  Both the city and the county have taken more of a hands off approach to green jobs.  Neither one is working directly to attract green energy/sector jobs.  Instead this is being left up to outside organizations like the Colorado Clean Energy Cluster.  

Major Concerns with Policy: FUNDING! I'll elaborate more on this in the presentation
