Subject: Film screening: The people of waste

Hi,

I'm attaching here a flyer for the screening of a film titled "The people of waste: living plastic" which will take place at the Alliance Française of Bangalore on Tuesday the 3rd of May, 2022. One of the directors, Rémi de Bercegol, will be present.

FILM SCREENING: "The people of waste: living plastic
Alliance Française of Bangalore
3rd of May 2022

Summary: Set in Delhi, the film explores the transformation of a piece of waste into a resource, through filmed interviews with people from the myriad professions that specialise in collecting, sorting, cleaning, reselling, shredding, and remaking products from it. The film reminds its audience of their relationship as producers of waste and questions the  discourses on recycling which tend to legitimize endless consumption.

Please do share on your network, if possible. The academic paper on which the film is based is also attached.

Sincerely,
Nithya
