Hi all,
Plz any one give me information about bio gas purification methods and
any available equipments in india.? As u know today petrol price in
race to reach 100 rupees, so its the time where we have to think about
low cost fuel sources. So as i'm a farmer n cow's and buffalo's and
plenty of dung is available so i'm thinking to produce bio gas and
planning to run bikes on that gas. Plz anybody know anything Plz let
me know.

Thanking you

Dear Sir,

Biogas can be enriched with 95% methane after purifying CO2, H2S and
other impurities by different methods. But for low capacity water
scrubing process is feasible. After purification it can be bottled
with multi stage compressor with 200 bar.

The plant and machineries and technology is available in India. Many
plants have already installed with support of MNRE.

Thanks and regards.

Hi Santosh,

We've had extensive discussions on biogas on Green-India in the past, search blog archives. In particular, see these two posts -- here and here -- from a 2008 discussion on electricity generation from biogas.

Thanks,
Manu
