Dear Friends,
Back to Nature 2 day Workshop by Padmashri Subhash Palekar is scheduled for the coming Sat and Sun - 8th and 9th of September 2018.
City dwellers like us stand to gain a lot by learning to live a more sustainable life, caring for our own health and also the planet's by adopting simple ways of minimalist living, of farming on balconies or terraces, avoid contributing to the city's waste by reusing the kitchen wastes in these gardens, reduce our contribution to global warming and climate change, by either growing own food naturally, minimising our waste generation, or by connecting with Natural farmers to obtain naturally grown food which is poison-free.
More and more of us are looking for alternative lifestyles, where we don’t contribute to the mindless consumerism and unscientific methods that are damaging our planet and health. Shri Palekarji's workshop offers real solutions to a range of interconnected problems - farmer suicides, soil degradation, rural to urban migration, safe food, our health and climate change.
‘Back to Nature’ workshop is a workshop that has been designed by Palekarji with the Urban audience in mind. It is targeted at offering residents of cities, the following knowledge:
- A foundation in Sustainable Living – understanding nature and aligning with it.
- Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) – the principles of Regenerative Farming and growing poison-free food.
- How to do effortless Weekend Farming using ZBNF – A growing number of city dwellers are now beginning to farm on the outskirts of the city.
- Terrace or Balcony farming, using ZBNF – grow our own poison-free food / recycle waste.
- Forming Consumer Groups to collaborate with ZBNF farmers – An 'Urban-Rural connect' that helps consumers in cities deal directly with farmers in villages, establishing a symbiotic relationship, leading to a more resilient equation of cooperation and coexistence, that creates a better world for all of us.
In a nutshell, the workshop will cover a wide canvas offering practical tips to tackle environmental issues, waste generation, water problems, nutritional problems, and health problems. It will make us aware of our day to day contribution to global warming, climate change and how people living in cities can help in reducing and nullifying the effects of climate change and global warming by going back to nature. It will address our common concerns such as reasons for increase in chronic health issues; and how eating poison-free food would improve health and nutrition.
