Hello MADD Scientists!

Got word from Tom that the in residence plug load readings needed to
start now, so I took the liberty of drafting an experiment outline
(http://greengaragedetroit.com/index.php?title=Business_Plug_Load) and
workbook for it. The workbook is at
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtbEzr-Y2qtadEJHMXk1ZWY4OVZUbzc5b1lianJDVnc,
and there is also a link from the experiment Wiki page.

If you have a chance and are interested, please take a look and feel
free to respond to this with any thoughts or suggestions. Otherwise ,
we will probably do a quick review of this on Friday.

Thank you!!

Laurie

Greetings MADDfolk,

FYI, there is a product out there made by P3 which may be more suitable for your needs

Also, if you wish to modify and existing Kill-A-Watt to enable logging via computer....
We the Makerspace folks might be able to assemble this kit for you after the new year if desired.  It would be a fun project for us, and we could share it with our group as well.

Hope this is helpful

Tom's link is the transmitter part that plugs in with the load attached, and it goes with Jeff's part, the wireless receiver that picks up what the transmitter sends out. You can link up to 8 transmitters to one receiver. Thanks for the links and ideas!!
