Energy/Waste Reporting - "Watt's" it all about?

Happy New Year, Lab Friends and Family!!

One of our goals for 2013 is to start tracking our electricity and water usage in a meaningful way, and to take that info plus our continued waste tracking (under Kirsten's fine leadership) to help illustrate the Green Garage "story" for others interested in sustainability. This is different than our bench-marking or measurement and verification (M&V) efforts, where we are looking to optimize systems and/or keep track of the numbers so we can head off any problems or slippage in operations before they get out of hand (ideally). This is intended to be a simplified graphical display in some form that is easy to understand for everyone but still conveys whatever it is determined the "message" is for why this info is being shared with others; refining that message is part of the process.

Just wanted to give you a chance to mull this over before Friday's Session and for Friends of the Labs to respond to this post if they have any ideas also.  Thank you!!
