Everything I see about Green Drinks Boston online ends in 2009. Does
this group still meet?

I believe the initial organizers were too busy to keep it going (this
info is via the GDB Facebook page). I believe it's up to those who
are still interested in the concept to revive it. I'd be
interested...

Actually, I'm still on the list of googlegroup moderators, and I'm the one who let through the two messages this morning. I'm also getting Facebook queries, though it's unclear to me if all FB group members are getting them, or if I'm listed as an administrator of that as well.

Alas, I no longer attend. Elaine, Shai, and others were leading when I dropped out for both family and professional reasons. It appears BGD is now leaderless.

I do see a fair amount of interest in its continuing, and what's required is for some of those interested parties to pick up the organizing mantle. I'd be happy to talk with those who want to do this, if they want any organizational history, but I'm confident that anyone who wants to take on this task is quite capable, with or without my guidance.

Dear Lyn,

Michael used to help with running Green Drinks.  I was a regular for awhile and have not been able to go for more than a year.  I'm not sure myself if it is still running.  Perhaps he can help us.

Best,
Karen

I'd also recommend checking out the Boston chapter of the Clean Economy Network, which offers frequent free events along similar lines. See http://boston.cleaneconomynetwork.org/ for upcoming events and to be added to their email list.

Interesting, thanks Helen -- I'm not too familiar with the Clean Economy Network, but it sounds compelling, I'll check it out.

Green Drinkers may also want to check out Net Impact Boston, the local professional chapter of Net Impact, an international organization dedicated to socially- and environmentally-responsible business (www.netimpactboston.org and www.netimpact.org). I'm no longer actively involved on the leadership team, but I helped lead NIB for several years and I've gotten a tremendous amount out of my involvement, so I'm happy to answer anyone's questions.

Cheers,
Asheen
