On the island of Mykonos, visitors can explore the many wonderful archaeological, historical and religious sites. Before beginning your tour of the island’s sites, we recommend acquiring a good Mykonos map. Your first stop should be in Mykonos Town to admire the beautiful architecture, the traditional windmills, the charming area of ‘Little Venice’, the Panagia Paraportiani Church and the priceless artefacts in the Archaeological, Maritime and Folklore Museums.
Apart from Mykonos Town, you may also visit the Well of Giannaros and the 3 Hellenistic Towers in Platis Gialos, the Monastery of Panagia Tourlianis in Ano Mera and the Pre-historic and Ancient ruins at Panormos Bay. Lastly, we suggest catching one of the many tour boats that visit the island of Delos, which is located opposite Mykonos, to see its amazing archaeological monuments.
Mykonos Island has stunning beaches some of which are quiet and some that are crowded, catering to all needs and tastes. At close proximity to Mykonos Town, you will come across the lovely beautiful Mykonos beaches of Agios Stefanos, Tourlos, Megali Ammos and Ornos.
South of Mykonos Town are the famous and much frequented beaches of Paradise, Super Paradise, Platis Gialos, Psarou and Agia Anna, while you will be enchanted by the Mykonos beaches of Ftelia, Agrari, Elia, Kalafatis, Kalo Livadi and Paraga.
