Hello Everyone,

SO we had a few folks show up for the meeting this past Tuesday at the Wurst Hall and here is what we covered...
In Attendance-J.D., Jeremy, Judith, Mitch, Emily, Luke, Erik, Chris, and Todd

-Introductions-gosh we're all nice folks! (:
-We need to work on a Mission Statement. Please contribute what your thoughts are on this. Do you think we should focus solely on racing? Community involvement (collab with FMCBW, host workshops, host rides)...what should we be doing?
-Race reimbursements...there will be NO dues this race year. It was discussed that there would be a 1500 cut off for race reimbursement payouts for this race year. It still stands that you MUST sport a GPCC jersey/kit and help with at least one event (LOTS of opportunities to help with the Time Trial series and the False Flat TT, amongst other things that could spring up)
-Todd and Emily will look into restarting a website-it'll be SUPER simple-with just basic information about the club and a ride calendar.
-Quiz night will be happening again. Martin, if you have any questions that you didn't ask at the last one would you mind forwarding them on? (: Also, we all hope you're well and riding a bunch! I will get in touch with the Red Raven and see about hosting the quiz night there again as it's a nice large space and folks can buy drinks there.
-Anyone interested in participating (either competitively or as a volunteer) with a winter triathlon? Anyone? This was mentioned as a possible event the club could put on...bike, snowshoe, ski...Could we try to collaborate with a local ski resort? Mapelag?
-Anyone have experience using something like Strava as a form of communication to discuss routes? Is it strictly a "post after ride" type thing. I don't use it, so I have no experience with it...Are there other methods we could use to communicate about rides? FB, google calendar, google group....anything else?
-Anyone have interest in hosting group rides that are NOT race focused? I would like to start a friday night sweater bike ride again-super social. Start somewhere and ride around for the evening, maybe ending somewhere to have a drink...Chris mentioned a Friday morning recovery ride-to use as loosening your legs for either preparation for the weekend OR to cool down from the week. Chris, would you still be interested in organizing this? Jeremy also brought up a "casual" century. Could ride out to Pelican, ride back.Maybe ride out, stay, ride around pelican, stay, ride back? End of month (or begining) Pub crawl?
-False Flat- July 11th. We will try to communicate with Lake Agassi Pacers about possibly renting their clock for this-it'd be fun to see the time ticking away as you're finishing...Will also communicate about getting post race snacks (fruits/mutffins/juice/choc milk)
-Bi Weekly Time Trial is starting May 5th. I think we usually start at 6:30, right? I'll be making up a calendar for that so people can sign up to help with that...also, thinking of changing it up this year and having folks head south instead of north and the route being 10 miles instead of 8...make things a little more interesting.
-It was mentioned to communicate with the FM Trailbuilders about having Maybe ride out, stay, ride around pelican, stay, ride back? Kid's TT this year along with the False Flat? Like 3-5 m a common calendar, maybe try to host meetings at the same time every now and then? What do you folks in FM trailbuilders think?
-ALSO, don't forget to order your kit!!! You have until April 15th!
Password:  2015
Open NOW through April 15th at Midnight CST
AND we still have a few pieces left over from last kit order...if you're interested stop in the shop and chat with me (Judith) or Jeremy.

That is all for now. If you have more you'd like to add simply reply to this email

Wow. That's a lot of info. As far as the FFTT talk to rob Roberts at bread smith. He has been awesome about providing a desert sample platter. He does like to meet in person though so just call ahead and mention that he has done this in the past but has usually worked with me (Steve Wentz from lunde auto center) and I'm sure he would be up for helping out. He likes several weeks notice.

Hope all is well in the fm area!

-Steve
