Fantasy Football Subjects:

Deep in the Greatness Fantasy Football Rule Book, there is a rule that says if there are situations which we forgot to consider when drafting out by-laws we will determine a reasonable rule that makes logical sense to me.

Here is the rule I'm proposing.  This is something I've seen in other leagues with similar keeper rules as our own, and shouldn't be that controversial.  The trade deadline is tomorrow.  Nothing new.  I propose (invoke?) a new rule that says your keepers must be on a (not necessarily your) roster by the end of the trade deadline. Otherwise, the teams who will not make the playoffs may drop fantasy relevant players for potential keepers in the final weeks.  I have no problem with sucking as bad as Andy and doing it earlier rather than later, but I'm not sure the threat of getting last place is enough to discourage the Geer's (last year) of the world from filling their rosters with potentially relevant keepers for the following year that may be on the waiver wire. (See, e.g., Andy's entire roster.)

As always, if 5 teams email publicly or privately with objections to this rule, by noon tomorrow we'll vote on this.  Thanks.

I think I should be able to drop Knile Davis to pick up Marcus Lattimore or vice versa (just as an example) after the trade deadline, so consider this an objection.  Also (and this has nothing to do with my situation specifically), let's consider this situation:  A top-performing RB goes down with a career-ending injury this Sunday, and no one has his back-up.  Someone picks up his back-up, who goes on to have an excellent remainder of the season for the one remaining week of the regular season and the three weeks of the playoffs (four weeks!).  Are we really going to tell that person that the player can't be kept for next year because the injury occurred on 11/24 instead of 11/17?
