Multiple people have been asking me if Lebron is having another march madness pool, and apparently the answer is yes. If you received this email, you were carefully selected as potentially worthwhile opponents based on a number of important criteria. Also, please forward this to anyone who might be interested as I may have overlooked people when I quickly checked names in my google contacts list. This pool has been around since Nathan Haynes narrowly defeated Professor Koene (sp) in 2002. Ever since that year, for whatever reason, females have won this pool except when they haven't, so hopefully we can end that streak if it is a streak. Rules are the following:
1) $10 entry (1 entry per person)
2) bracket is on cbssports.com
3) send $10 to my email address on Paypal (or Venmo if you are annoying and went to Dartmouth)
4) include the email address as a comment that you want to receive an invite
5) DO NOT mention brackets or march madness on paypal or it will violate the terms of service
6) I will send an invite to the email address you specify with the password
7) you will be required to create a cbssports.com login if you don't have one from previous years
8) scoring is different than many brackets. Each correct answer is scored by the designated round value (1-2-4-8-16-32-64) PLUS the seed of the winning team.
9) Payout goes to top 3 or 5 bracket scores depending on number of participants
10) email me if you have questions
11) if memphis makes the tournament this year, remember that it is looked down upon not to pick the tigers to advance one round past where you reasonably think they will actually end up (even if you are not from memphis). Probably not an issue this year, and no one has ever won who actually followed this rule.
