The objective of the Promotion is to accumulate the most points by correctly selecting which two (2) teams will advance out of each of the eight (8) groups and then selecting the "winning pick" for each of the fifteen (15) match-ups associated with the bracket of the single-elimination tournament. Note the 3rd Place match (i.e., the consolation game) is NOT included in the Scoring.
One hour following the announcement of the Groups on Friday December 6, 2013 you will have the opportunity to select which two teams you think will advance from each of the eight groups (A-H) by clicking or dragging those teams out of the groups and into the bracket. From those 16 teams that you've selected, you can click or drag the team name as far as you think that team will advance (you can even drag them all the way to the World Cup Champions box). Once the bracket is complete (and you have submitted your tiebreaker score for the Championship match) the Submit button will change color (to a red button) and you may submit your picks/bracket to the system.
Entrants may change their selections as often as they like prior to the start of group play (currently scheduled for the morning of Thursday, June 12, 2014) after which all selections must be finalized.
Notes:
All picks will lock at the scheduled start time of the Tournament currently scheduled for Thursday, June 12, 2014. Selections submitted after the deadline are considered invalid.
From all eligible entries received, the winners will be determined based on their ability to use their skill and knowledge of World Cup soccer to accumulate the most points. A correct answer in a given round is shown below:
