Just a quick update on our experience with bridge tender refusing to open bridge.
The government entities I emailed included the USACE , USCG, and FL DOT Bridges division. All email addresses I found thru google searches.
All responded within the day but only one group responsible FL DOT BRIDGES. Although all were interested in the issue and all responded not protocol. USCG said to hail them for bridge assistance if it should happen again anywhere.
The Roosevelt Bridge is under contract with ISS Facilities providing contracted bridge tenders. The manager of the group did email me to apologize and added tender no longer on bridge duty.
I am grateful the issue was handled quickly. Thanks to all who responded.
Ann

Boat is 55' AWL, with approx. 33,000 lbs. Would like any import from the list as to what is the best starting point in the decision making process.
