Good morning all
Looking for 2017 update on NJ ICW starting from Cape May NJ north. Anyone who has travelled NJ ICW from Cape May north recently it would be great to know if navigable?

With the winds howling 25 knots for the next week looking to take the inside route but want to know if passable. Super storm sandy impacted this waterway. Just hoping NJ ICW getting back to normal.

Thanks for your input. Greatly appreciate the sharing of mariner knowledge.

For what draft?

We draw six feet. No part of the NJ inland water way is navigable to us.

We have a short list of inlets and anchorages we use to make the trip in
two or three hops.

" Super storm sandy" occurred in Oct 2012. The ICW in NJ has been dredged
since that time.

Sean Even after a dredging, the fisherman hog the channel and bridge passes and it is narrow. IMHO you best bet is Cape May to Atlantic City, in Absecon Inlet
On the outside and then anchorage off USCG base at Sandy Hook Pick your weather and go or go farther in to Marina and Mooring field past USCG BASE
