hiccapop Convertible Crib Toddler Bed Rail Guard with Reinforced Anchor Safety

Top Reviews:

We purchased this because the actual wooden rails for our convertible crib (Sorrelle Vista Elite with Changer) are sold out everywhere online (now that Toys R Us is out of business). They're also $125! So we opted for this.It works good. It's somewhat tricky to put together. The instructions take some studying. But after a bit it made sense. It's straight-forward on how to install on the frame of the bed.The issue is LOWERING the guard. It's almost impossible. I still haven't been able to do it. You have to pull up on both sides simultaneously but the tricky part is there's nothing to weigh the guard down as you do this so the entire mattress pulls up with it. You have to have an adult sitting on the mattress to put the correct torque/force on the rail to "lift it" out of the secure locking hinge. Very tricky. It's good for safety and security as there's no way that rail is lowering on it's own, but it's difficult to use.

I hate to have an unfavorable review but this guardrail left me a little disappointed. For starters, the assembly of the actual rail itself (not anchoring to the bed) was actually very easy - with the exception of inserting the lower bar into the hinged legs. The problem I had was that the netting didn’t have enough “give” so locking the lower bar into the hinge was INCREDIBLY difficult. I am a fairly savvy builder-of-things and I broke a sweat lol. Another result of (what I feel is) the netting being too small/not enough stretch, is the top and bottom of the rail bows in the middle as you can see in the picture. As I am putting all this together, I know I am never taking this apart again to wash the netting, which is another caveat to this rail.I did, as others have mentioned, install to the bottom of the mattress spring vs the top as the poles would’ve been able to be felt if it were on top of the spring (I did test this theory).I had high hopes for this item that fell short and honestly, if the netting were just a tad bigger or had a little more stretch, I would’ve given 5 stars. It is very sturdy and will contain my 3yo well.

We were desperate to remove the side of the crib rail because our toddler would get crazy when put in for naps and would try to climb out, which would result in a fall. So, I got this in hopes she would at least be willing to get on and off the crib herself (which she does). The rail guard is not as I expected after reading others reviews. It's a bit flimsy and I don't like the fact it rises the mattress leaving a gap between the mattress and the springs. I mean not a big deal but aesthetic wise it doesn't make the crib look nice. Let's see how long it will last before my toddler breaks it. It's priced a bit high for its quality in my opinion. But we're desperate right now.

Okay, I tried ordering the hideaway side rail but my son has a captain's bed and doesnt have a boxspring so the slideaway aspect wouldnt work. At first I was skeptical about this. How can something rolled up (almost flat) in such a small box fluff up and keep its form as a protective bumper for my toddler? I worried also because my son is not tiny. He' a husky boy in the 75% for height and is an active sleeper. I didnt think that it would stay put but I follwed the directions and placed it under my sons twin sized sheets and it seems to be staying put. I covered the floor with my daughters gym mat just to be safe. Only 1 night so far, but its actually working! I am pleasantly surprised!!

This bumper is super soft and my daughter loves it. She can easily get in and out of bed, but does not fall out... however... when unpacking it there were super fine particles on the memory foam that felt like invisible spider webs. I wiped the foam down with wet wipes to try to remove any piecds from manufacturing. Off gassing takes a little while...The bumper stays in place as long as the fabric wing piece remains flat across the bed. The weight of your child holds the bumper there... maybe they could include an elastic band that connects the one side of the flap and the bumper pad around a standard twin size?

I needed a bed rail for my toddler for when we converted her crib to a toddler bed, but did not want the traditional bed rail. The hiccapop bed rail bumper is perfect. It is high enough to keep her in her bed, very soft and fits perfectly on her converted crib to toddler bed.

Toddler Bed Rail Bumpers [2 Pack] Safety Sleep Bedside Rail Guard for Toddlers & Kids & Baby | Memory Foam Long Pillow Pads with Non-Slip Machine Washable Cover Shinnwa

These bumpers have fulfilled their purpose, they keep my child from rolling out of bed at night. It's been great, my only problem is that they don't stay in place as well as I was hoping. Most nights when she gets in bed I have to put them back in place cause they've scooted around from her getting in and out of bed.

These have decent rubber grip on the bottom but they still fall off the bed easily. It kind of slows and softens the fall when our toddlers fall out of bed. The rails go most of the length of the bed but are so easily moved that getting in and out of bed hasn’t been an issue for our 2.5 year olds. Not bad overall, but they definitely move and our toddlers have fallen out of bed with them in place. *Of note, we have one on each of our twins beds, not two on one bed. I don’t know if using both in one bed would make them more likely to stay in place. But our beds have a rail or a wall on one side and then we put the bumper on the putter edge. Just FYI.

I don't write a lot of reviews, but this one is worth it. A bit sad, that I'm this excited about this product, but it's the little things. These are comfortable and stay in place wonderfully as I ninja-roll out of my son's bed. They don't move. I don't have to fix them every day and fight with the sheets. I have another company's version of these, that don't include the outer covering. They are awful. They do the job. But I have to fight with them nonstop and they're all over the place in my daughter's bed. I only wish I would have purchased these for my daughter's bed last year. Since hers do the job technically, I can't justify replacing them unfortunately.Buy these!

(1-Pack) Extra Long Bed Rail for Toddler | Soft Foam Bed Bumper for Kids | Baby Bed Guard | Child Bed Safety Side Rail | Designed to fit Twin, Full, Queen & King Size Beds

They are two long half cylindrical heavy pillows that fit under the sheets, around half the height of an standard metalic safety rail. The main problem is that the standard fitted sheet isn’t tall enough to cover both half cylinders and the mattress, meaning that it can’t be tucked around the bottom corners of the mattress. The other issue is that they take probably 40% of an standard twin bed surface, which shouldn’t be a major issue for kids.In terms of functionality, I put them on my girl’s bed after we took off the safety rails and she hasn’t rolled over and fall after a couple months of use. So they work.

I had originally asked for a return. They did not fluff up after a few hours said they would. I put them in the dryer on delicate after a few days and it helped. We will see how the first overnight with the twins goes and I will add a new review!

I love the idea of this and the product itself is nice and soft yet sturdy. Very comfy and nice fabric...buuuttt it slides. Every single night I have to wrestle this thing back into the sheets. Wish it came with a strap or something to secure it

Toddlers Bed Rail Guard 59 Inches Fold Down Convertible Crib Bed Guard with NBR Foam and 1pcs Seat Belt for Kids Twin, Double, Full Size Queen & King Mattress (White)

This bed rail was intended for a disabled individual who had a tendency to roll over in the night and possibly fall out of bed. The rail allowed her to see through the webbing easily so as not to feel totally confined and still have the feeling of safety. The fold down feature allowed for easy access for caregivers to assist the individual in all aspects of care needed at the bedside. Two thumbs up.

My mom had a very debilitating stroke and she fell out of bed at the rehab center so we knew we had to put safety first when she was sent home. My dad and brother installed this on her side of the bed and it works perfectly to keep her from falling out of bed. Dad loves that it folds down out of the way for ease of putting her into the bed. It would be nice if they made some another 6 to 10 inches taller though for deep mattresses. She does not feel boxed in or scared because she can see through it.

We use it and it is OK, but was difficult to install. It does the job though. My husband was very frustrated putting it together and he is pretty handy, so if it wasn’t for that, I would have given it a higher rating.
