I like the idea of a large trash can so it only has to be taken out once a week...sometimes longer. I reached the point of "being fed up" with motion detection trash cans. After four, I said, NO MORE. Something always happened to the motion after a while....then I had to manually pick up the top to put garbage in.When the delivery was made, I rushed out to check the packaging (after reading several posts where it arrived dented). I made the delivery man wait while my husband opened the box that was messed up in one corner. Sure enough, it was slightly dented. The delivery man had already scanned it, and he said he could not take it back. While I was talking to the delivery man, my husband used the rubber handle on a hammer to push the dent out and it was perfectly fine after that. We kept the can, love it so far, and highly recommend the SELLER COME UP WITH BETTER PACKAGING TO HELP PREVENT DENTING. The delivery man said they "get thrown around" a lot.

I love the large 20 gallon size. It also has a smooth operating lid. The stainless looks nice but it is very thin and came with some dents in the sides. One was a large dent that I was able to push out but not with a couple of small dents. It is a little bit annoying but I am living with it.

Yes, it is just a trash-can. But to me it is so much more than that. See, we had another brand before we got this bad-boy. The other model provided no end of frustration--especially when it came time to remove the full bag. To say it was difficult to remove would be an understatement.BUT this beauty, well, this beauty is a breeze to remove full bags. Pop up the "wings" to release the bag then let them flop down. Now just pull the bag up! If it is really loaded, flip up the wings, then life up the top of the can (the black "edge") and lift up the bag. Easy-peasz.Not made of the heaviest gauge metal but it arrived with no dents and should last as long as we have this kitchen to place it in.OH, and it was $50 cheaper than the previous brand we had!

Great size for the price but still doesn't take up much space and seems durable. Four stars just because I wish the pedal was a little lower from the bottom of the can it takes getting use to having foot properly step on it.

I live in a house with 4 other roommates and 2 dogs. The size of our kitchen garbage just wasn't cutting it and occasionally the dogs would get in since it had a revolving door at the top. This was the best option at the right price. The garbage pail is big, affordable, and the pedaled lid keeps the dogs out.The only criticism I have is one of the other commenters who said the pedal is arched a little high so you have to pick your foot up a bit to press it down, but honestly, I don't see that as a big deal and The pedal is also very responsive to the lid opening. All in all, i'd say this is agreat economical option for a house with lots of roommmates

FINALLY a freaking trash can that holds enough garbage for the entire week. I actually like that this is plastic bc it won't get discolored with fingerprints or dented. I recommend you have an idea for where you want this thing bc she is large and could be considered an eyesore if it looks out of place. we happened to have the perfect place for it so its works out great for us. I've already gotten 2 different people asking me where I got it when they saw it so thats definitely a good sign lol

The lid on the trash can broke after about a month. They quickly replaced the entire trash can.

This trash can is the perfect size for my busy kitchen. It holds a lot so I do not need to empty the trash several times a day. Most importantly it is easy to empty, without a rim holding the full trash bag in while you are struggling to pull it out. Yes, that was my last trash can, never again! Great design.

Like the title says - easily holds our garbage (though we're empty nesters) without having to change out the bag before the next p/u day. But the pins that hold the lid to the mechanism do not do a great job of holding the lid affixed - occasionally one side of the lid pops out. Also, most of the time the lid does not quite sit back far enough to stay open, so you end up having to hold it open with one hand(!). I plan to simply install a drawer-type handle to the front edge of the lid, disconnect the foot-operated mechanism where it connects to the lid, and just open it by hand. This really shouldn't be necessary to do, but life's too short to worry about something like this. The last minor gripe is that the bottom is uneven due to this being foot operated, and so it is shaped accordingly. As a result your not only do you lose some garbage "area", but again, it's uneven compared to a "regular" can having a flat bottom. If I did this over again, I would simply search for a comparably-sized can with a manual lid, and be all the better for it.
