Saturday March 30th is International Tabletop Game Day

Apparently the UN or the WHO or somebody has made the 30th into International Tabletop Game Day and it's a violation of the Geneva Convention to not play board games on that day.

All the details are in this video here:

So we should put on our thinking caps and come up with events.

Here is the site where "official" events can register.  


It doesn't show any around these parts.  I also checked Yottaquest's calendar and they don't appear to have anything there yet.  The library also doesn't show anything that day ( other than the regular Yu-Gi-Oh! meetup ).

Should we pursue getting other venues to host, or just throw something together at the Hive?

I think we should drop something on there about an event at the Hive, unfortunately I have a friends birthday party the night before and I can make no guarantees about my state of consciousness that Saturday...

If I knew I could be there I would add the event to the tabletopday.com website.

I think the site might be having issues, because now when I load it I either get an error, or I get a map that shows a few events.  But clicking the icons on the map does nothing.
