Williamston Theatre 2024-2025 Season General Auditions

The Williamston Theatre announces general auditions for its 2024-2025 season. Details are below. Auditions are in-person. Williamston Theatre is particularly seeking Michigan actors.  Out-of-town actors will be considered, but having your own vehicle is a necessity.

When:  Monday, May 13 from 5pm – 9pm
            Monday, May 20 from 10am – 3pm
            By appointment only.
What to prepare: 2 contrasting, contemporary monologues. Total time 3 minutes.

How to schedule an appointment: Beginning Thursday, April 25 call 517-655-7469,  
            Tuesday – Friday from 12:30-5:30PM
What to bring: 1 copy of your headshot and resume

 
Production/Casting Information
We are auditioning for available roles in our upcoming 2024-2025 Season, understudy positions, and our staged reading series. Some roles in the season are unavailable because productions have been chosen for specific artists, are remounts, or are new scripts already being workshopped with a cast.

Casting:
• Keith: Male, mid-to-late 30's. Black. Mortgage broker, just trying to make it all work.  
• Ryan: Male, mid-to-late 30's. White. Another guy just trying to make it all work.

Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help by Katie Forgette
1st Rehearsal: June 3, 2025
1st Preview: June 26, 2025
Opening: July 5, 2025
Closing: August 3, 2025
Casting:
• Linda O'Shea - 19 years old, intelligent caring and curious.  
• Josephine O'Shea - 40's/50's. A multi-tasking Mom a little emotional and prone to outbursts.  
• Terri Carmichael - late 50's. Fast talker, going through a rough patch but not depressed. 
• Becky O'Shea - 13 years old. Unusual, Bright, energetic, HUGE imagination.  
• TRIPLE ROLE for one male actor in their 50's:
• Mike O'Shea (loud loyal father: Breadwinner and disciplinarian),
• Father Lovett (old school Catholic priest, his way or the highway),
• Betty Heckenbach (as inevitable as death and taxes, but less fun; judgmental, nosy, snooty woman sticking her face into other people's business).
