I amended the registration form to say that payment after the contest is fine.

I prefer it, actually, because that way the number of teams is known for sure and there’s no question of adjustments needing to be made.

So if what’s stopping you is being able to get the payment arranged in time, don’t worry, be happy, and COME ON DOWN!!!!!!  (Just don’t forget to pay me Tuesday for a hamburger today.  ;-> )

We still have plenty of room!  Accepting registrations until we run out of room, which may well be never – we can accommodate a LOT of teams.

New and improved info and registration sheets attached – we will be having three divisions for Scratch – elementary, middle, and high school, with trophies and ribbons for each.

This is being sent to my new and improved mailing list – as always, please forgive any duplications and feel free to forward to anyone I’ve left out.

*********************************

You are invited to the second annual Dulles programming contest on October 24th 2015!  We will have Java Advanced, Java Novice, and Scratch (for elementary, middle school, and high school novices) divisions, plus a UIL-style written test.

The Scratch contest will be graded on the computer; the Java contests will require file input.  Summary of file input attached in case your novices might find it useful, plus information and registration forms.

Please reply, using the attached registration form, by Thursday, October 15th.  A rough estimate of numbers as soon as you can get it to me would be appreciated.  We can accommodate 100+ teams, so hopefully everyone who wants to attend can do so.

Don’t hesitate to email or call if you have any questions.  Please feel free (nay, encouraged!) to forward this to anyone I’ve left out.  (Conversely, please forgive any duplicate or unwanted mailings, or let me know and I’ll correct my email list.)

Looking forward to seeing you!

PS:  Email with last year’s Scratch packet to follow – I don’t want to take a chance of loading this down with too many attachments.
