Could the actual workflow be like;
- BIM server holds my "monster" IFC files collection
- BIM server do a cut out of a smaller part
- Import IFC cut out into FreeCAD
- Do the wanted changes / redesign
- Save changes to IFC
- Import changes to BIM server
Possible? ;-)

I think i teared up a little. :)

So do you think, with this diff in place, that we need
to do (2) separate freecad models still? Or can there
be some type of manual merge control solution here?
So there's essentially one model...less material
management problems, etc.
