Hello Bernie...

I got the antenna and radio installed on the Catalina yesterday. No resonance on 40 or 75 meters but my first signal heard was a ham contesting from Serbia and I managed to check into the maritime net on 20 meters to a net control in Texas. I guess I'm not even sure if the Great Lakes counts as truly maritime mobile but as soon as I figure out a better counterpoise I'll get cracking on an antenna for the missing bands. Echolink wasn't showing you this morning but now I see why . Hope to see you on HF one of these weekends soon..
