It’s December already! There are many dates to remember this month, so please read carefully!
** Advent – Waiting for Jesus
This Sunday begins the season of waiting for Jesus, Advent. In this busy month, let’s focus on the true meaning of Christmas, celebrating the birth of Jesus by spending a short time each day in a family devotional. Attached is the family devotional guide, Knowing Him By Name from Focus on the Family, to do as a family.
Please pray that during this season, our children will know and understand the true meaning of Christmas and that they may realize what a precious gift Jesus is to them.
** Christmas Offering Song Presentation
Next Sunday, 12/9 is the kick off of the Christmas Offering Songs. GA lower grade children will present the
special offering song. Please have your
GA child wear white tops/blouse/button down with dark bottoms/pants/skirts. Attached are the song lyrics. I will also send the motions video via shared
google drive.
Please pray that the children would know and understand that the offering song presentation is truly a gift we give onto God and not a presentation before parents. Pray that our even as our children practice the songs and motions that that would also be an offering onto God.

Share the joy & love of Jesus with the children in need! Once again this year, we will be collecting toys to be distributed to the children in Paterson!
Collecting: New & Unwrapped gifts under $10 for boys/girls ages 5-12.
Collection Dates: Sunday, 12/9 & 12/16
Distribution Date: Tuesday, 12/25 9-11am in Paterson (space limited – email ely...@joychurch.com to reserve your spot.)
Please pray our children’s hearts will be stretched to love, serve and generously give to those in need.
** Christmas Fair – Building Fundraiser-- Postponed
Praise the Lord! The town board has approved our building project!!
But we will be postponing our fair fundraiser to spring, closer to the ground breaking so that we can focus the month of December in giving and serving others.
Please continue to pray for the Education Building Project. Pray for God’s continued grace and favor as we prepare for the ground breaking day. Pray that this building will be used to raise up the next generation of not only our Joy members but the community.
** Offering Prayer Rotation & Written Prayer
The offering prayer rotation has been going very well! Thank you for remembering to help your child prepare. It’s been great seeing our children come up prepared and ready to read their written prayers.

Plan for Paul
The apostle Paul was arrested and sent to Rome as a prisoner for Jesus. Even as Paul faced hardships, such as being in a shipwreck, he continue dot make much of Jesus to whomever was around him.

Dates to Remember

Club, Friday 6-8pm
Bring Your Bible!
Please remind your
child to bring his/her bible to church every Sunday. Children will use
their Bibles in their small groups.
For those that would like to purchase Bibles, I recommend the NIV Adventure Bible.
Prayer Topics:
* Pray for the Education Building: For God’s favor in all the steps and process to get to ground breaking to being building.
* Pray our children will meet Jesus in a special way and build a personal relationship with God.
* Pray our children’s worship
on Sunday will be spirit filled and spirit led.
* Pray our children’s teachers will be filled with the holy spirit and the love
of God will overflow onto our children and that they will be able to see the
children through the eyes and heat of God.
