Greasemonkey keeps reverting my script to previous version

Hello,

I use Firefox Nightly on Linux, which updates frequently. I made a Greasemonkey script for my personal use and at one point had to make a change.

Recently however, after Firefox is killed unexpectedly or the computer has had its power cut, the script often gets reverted to the previous edit. I tried incrementing the version in the code, but it still keeps happening. Any ideas what might be going on?

This is not expected.  But only happens after an unclean process termination/shutdown?  Sounds like an issue external to Greasemonkey or Firefox, more like you've got a disk that doesn't properly flush data to permanent storage.

perhaps the disk failed to save the new changes, or it may not have been able to execute the command due to an unexpected power-off, and therefore could not write the new data to the disk.
