I'm trying to get greasemonkey on my Android but when I try to install I get the error message that greasemonkey app isn't compatible with Firefox 21.0.  Does anyone know how I fix this?  Thanks!

You're receiving the message that Greasemonkey isn't compatible with
Firefox Android, because Greasemonkey isn't compatible with Firefox
Android.

If you really want to try out user scripts on android I've seen 2 different browsers with very limited greasemonkey functionality. First was TamperMonkey other was Oilcan. I believe TamperMonkey is still available on the play store. I gave up on trying to use them since the capabilities were so limited and the interfaces were less than desirable.

A month ago the Greasemonkey author said in a Reddit AMA that he was working on a version for Firefox Mobile, so just hang on. If you really can't wait, you can use Opera Mobile Classic, although scripts reliant on new browser functions won't work for Opera, most work fine.

To get it working in Opera, go to opera:config, search the value of "user javascript", point it to a folder with your *.user.js files and it should load the userscripts.

Yes, like Emily already said Opera Mobile Classic is the way to go for normal user scripts.
But if you want some advanced GM_ functions to work like cross domain / cross site GM_xmlhttpRequest then your only option right now is:
Opera Mobile Labs (with Extensions) (link to APK is on that site).
Install+run Opera Mobile Labs app and visit Violent Monkey's extension site and install the 1.5.1.1 (OEX version) by clicking on "Add to Opera" and then choose "OK" (maybe you'll have to restart Opera Mobile for the extension to work.).
To install an userscript you just need to load it in the browser by visiting the user.js URL location. If you have userscripts on your SD card, you can load them thru entering "file://" into the address bar and navigate to your user.js files and then choose "OK".

It has been three years since your post. Is there presently any option for installing greasemonkey extension on android? I am not able to install the same on Asus Phonepad.
