Asian Festival June 10th 6月10日的亚洲文化节

Dear teachers and families,

As you may know, Grand Rapids Chinese Language School is going to attend Asian Festival on June 10th. 

We would like to promote our school and raise fund for our school.

Please consider support us by either donating Chinese some merchandise (such as decorations, paintings, calligraphy, hand-made crafts, toys,restaurant voucher or gift cards, ect) or volunteering at the event.

We will need about 3 volunteers per shift. You will help passing out flyers and introduce our school to the public, selling the merchandise or making a Chinese character tattoo for visitors (simply use face paint to write a chinese character on them--no specialized skills needed :)) 

Time slots are:

a. 10 am -2 pm

b. 1:30 pm -6:30pm

c. 6 pm -9:30 pm

We encourage our upper grade level students to join us at the event as well. It is a great opportunity for them to practice Chinese and introduce our culture and language to the public. They can earn volunteer hours for supporting this community event.

亲爱的老师和家长们，

我们学校将参加6月10日举办的亚洲文化节。借此活动，我们将为我们学校做宣传和做一些义卖活动为学校集资。

恳请大家支持我们的活动。我们目前需要两方面的支持：1. 用于义卖的有中国文化特色的小商品（可以是装饰品、画、书法字、手工艺品、玩具、饭店餐劵和礼品劵等等）；2. 来活动现场当志愿者。

我们每个班大概需要3个志愿者。你们会帮我们发传单并宣传学校、卖义卖物品或者为游客做汉字纹身（只需用画脸的颜料在游客身上写一个汉字即可，无需培训，立即上岗 :)）

3个班的时间为：

一. 上午10点 ----  下午2点

二. 下午1:30 点 ----6:30点

三. 下午  6 点 -9:30点

我们希望中文学校高年级的学生也能参与到我们的活动中来。这是一个给他们锻炼中文的好机会，也是一个让他们给公众传播中国语言和文化好机会。作为志愿者，他们还可以获得为社区服务的志愿者小时证明。
