Dear Mr. Whiney Insecure...

This is OFFICIAL too!

Get some grecian formula, quit smoking, and try to excersize at
least three times a week. In the meantime, try some Viagra maybe,
though I doubt it'd help.

Official Notice
LockDown Corp.
44-P Dover Point Rd.
Dover NH. 03820

It has been brought to my attention that there have been
fraudulent posts in this news group from people pretending
to be people that they are not. Because of this I have
linked this text to a link on our web page in order to save
any speculation as to it's authenticity.
http://lockdowncorp.com/ng.txt

For those of you that do not know me, my name is Michael
Paris. There are far too many issues here to cover and
my time is limited, so I will try to make this brief.

Allegations and accusations are being thrown at both myself
personally and our corporate name originating from this
newsgroup. If you wish to make accusations concerning me
kindly do so in personal email rather than in a public
forum. I am not willing to enter into any form of public
debate on these issues. I do not consider this the place
to do so. However I do feel obligated to provide answers
to a few questions that were brought up.

Wayne (TDS):
you were probably not aware of our new LockDown
Millennium software when you claimed that it only detected a
few ports. I am forgiving on this point. However neither
myself nor LockDown Corp. will sit by and tolerate
your company making claims that we did anything to hurt
you or your business. LockDown Corp. did not send out any
spam for your program or your company. Please direct any
future communication to my personal email. By the way,
I am still waiting for a reply to the personal email that I
sent to you. When I spoke to you on the telephone last night,
you said that it would be answered in a few hours.

Keith Little (Pchelp):
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

"The latest versions may very well do something more.
It's been suggested to me that it may run NETSTAT.EXE
at intervals, to spot TCP activity, or it may contain an
embedded netstat function of its own. A disadvantage of
Netstat is that it doesn't show UDP connections (because
they _aren't_ connections in the TCP sense). ARP.EXE,
another MS-DOS TCP tool, can reveal the source IPs of UDP
activity, however port numbers would be unknown. The ARP
cache, which retains its entries for 2 minutes, contains
the IPs of all TCP and UDP traffic and is undoubtedly
readable by any application."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

If someone did "suggest" this to you I would make sure
that you test the software before posting someone else's
"suggestions". A simple view of the connection monitor
will display both UDP and TCP connections. Trojans can hide
their connections from NETSTAT.EXE, and it is not a
trustworthy means to view connections and therefore we
do not use it.

LockDown Millennium has two forms of port detection.
The first being our Port Monitor which detects over 65,000
ports including half open portscan connections, (via port
sniffing) and the second being our Connection
Monitor/Netstat which does not use NETSTAT.EXE but uses
our own code that can see both UDP and TCP connections.

General public:
Concerning this news group, LockDown Corp. means no harm to
Keith Little and his pchelp page, however we will not tolerate
defamation or malicious interference with our licensees
and customers.

The Help Pc Help web page is misleading readers into believing
that our law suit is solely based on his testing our software,
LockDown 2000. Although his testing was inaccurate and
referred to in our complaint, the Pc Help web page also alleges
defamation, malicious interference with our existing and
potential customers along with many other torts as shown in the
links below.

If not to intimidate Keith, why did you post his name and home
address on your Web site?
