Hello,

I'm Noon; I've not programmed in Scheme before but if I get time I'll
definitely try and write something. Sounds like fun.

Great to hear from you, & congratulations on being the first to
respond. I hope to see you on the 29th :-)

If you have any issues getting GNU Robots going, please do post to the
group & ask for assistance. I'll be happy to help.

Yours,
Duncan Bayne

G'day guys,

I had a similar assignment as par of my A.I. unit in my last semester
of Uni, but we used Common Lisp for it. This would be a great excuse
to learn the basics of scheme. From what I remember the environment
and it's elements were completely stochastic, so my agent some really
basic decision controls and that was it. So I'm still not sure what
would be a good way to "train" the agent or what are some non-trivial
algorithms to use in this scenario? Looking forward to participating
and the event!

Cheers,
Gaurav

I don't know of anyone (yet!) using a trainable algorithm for GNU
Robots, but I reckon it's a great idea :-)

The GNU Robots project itself contains several AIs; I suggest taking a
look at them. I've posted one (the simplest) to the group. The rest
are available to browse online here:

Hello,

I don't program much any more - though I want to - nor have I any
knowledge of A.I.
But it does seem like an interesting event; worthwhile of
participation.

I program a lot ... but so far never in Scheme, and never any AI. So
you're not the only one in that boat :-)

I'm glad you're interested; welcome aboard, & good luck :-)
