Hi Ember! I'm building my first Evapotron this year for my fourth burn........gonna get greener with solar too! 1. I have an old plastic three bladed propellor from a standard household fan that is 15" across. I am contemplating using the plastic fan for my propellor, but am concerned about the weight. My plan is to ziptie the thing directly to the propellor wheel and try it. Do you think it will provide enough spinning power?

Hi Scott -- here's a reply, almost exactly one year late. It sounds great -- a lazy guy's approach to building a propeller. I hope it worked! It occurred to me that you'd need to balance the propeller/fan lashup pretty carefully, otherwise the wind won't have enough oomph even to push the wheel to turn over once.
