Hey guys, I've just tried Gravit 0.5.0 for linux and I liked it. It's fast, simple and stereoscopy mode is awesome. However I don't know how to create custom simulations. All it lets me do is pressing space for a new simulation, but how exactly do I create something from scratch? I've searched alot, but there's no documentation!
Also color modes aren't working =(

This is my `uname -a`
Linux 3.6.9-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Dec 4 08:04:10 CET 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Thanks!

Hi Emiliano,

Glad to hear you're enjoying it!

The colour modes not working sounds like it's not load gravit.cfg. Check out the log output to see if it finds it or not. You can also set the colours yourself in the console, see the colourscheme commands: https://github.com/gak/gravit/blob/master/cfg/gravit.cfg

As with custom simulations, there used to be documentation but I haven't had time to port it all across. You can use archive.org to see the old content: http://web.archive.org/web/20090424050106/http://gravit.slowchop.com/docs/SpawnScripting.php#SpawnScripting

Hopefully most of it will still apply to the latest version--it's been a while since the old docs were written.

Oh, I got it now! It reads everything from $PWD, and files were at /usr/share/gravit, so easily fixed. I also found the spawn examples, and what a surprise... it uses Lua! As a awesome-wm user I'm used to Lua, so that's great news.

This is a beautiful piece of work. Keep development going!

Also thanks for the faster-than-light answer. :P
Now I'm going to fiddle a little with my new toy. Hoping to show some of my simulations when I get used to it.
