If you receive an email with a link to a Webex recording, just click on the link to watch it. There's no player required. Or if you've downloaded a file, get the Webex Player below (file types are .ARF or .WRF) for your operating system.
We are thrilled to announce that Webex Calling will now include Dubber Go at no extra charge. Dubber Go will provide all Webex Calling users with unlimited call recording available for download and replay for 30 days from the Dubber cloud.
Once enabled, customer administrators can enable their employees with Dubber Go through the Webex Control Hub admin portal. They can choose to have recording always on or to allow the user to start/stop/pause/resume recording on demand from their phone or Webex app on desktop and mobile. Users will easily be able to record calls and have immediate access to download and replay through the Dubber portal.
If a customer determines that they must comply with regulatory requirements for recording some of their calls, we have made it easy to upgrade from Dubber Go to Dubber Teams. Dubber Teams provides businesses with full administrative access and policy control to recordings across the organization. We believe having one place to store and manage both convenience and compliant recordings simplifies administration and overall compliance conformance procedures.
Dubber recording is the only call recording solution that works simultaneously with both Webex Calling and our Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) family of calling platforms. This means if you are transitioning from UCM on premises to Webex Calling, you can use Dubber to meet all your call recording requirements and manage it all through one common portal. We will even include Dubber Go convenience recording with every UCM Cloud seat as well. This hybrid approach streamlines your management and administrative experiences.
I am trying to edit a recording that was made during a Webex Teams Meeting. While I am able select a range to play, on-line, when it is downloaded I get the full recording, including the section I did not want. Is there a way, that I can just download the section I want into a video file? I understand that a proprietary file format is used for the recording.
If you leave the recording on the Cloud and share the link the start / end edits will hold. Once you download they're no longer available. A third part App works well. Try Filmora or if you can afford it.. Adobe Premiere (no affiliation or compensation for mentioning these two Apps)! You'll need ti experiment with the different codecs that each App offers.
@Ronald.Sherman
since I have access to the free license only (which does not include recording to the cloud) I can neither confirm nor deny the availability of a webbaseb Video-Editor. But since this has already been asked here once or twice, I guess there is no such feature.
My explanation for that is that editing/altering the recording may conflict with enterprise policies (#Audit etc..).
With Movavi Screen Recorder, you can record a Webex meeting as an attendee without permission. The app has been designed for users who need to grab audio and video of ongoing activities on their computer screen. This program will allow you to record Webex meetings in high quality, draw on your recordings, and cut out unnecessary fragments.
Choose the recording settings according to your needs. When you need to capture your own screen, you can enable Keystrokes and add visual effects to your mouse movements. All these settings are available in the Settings menu. Then, choose the recording option.
As a participant in an online conference, you can turn off Webcam and Microphone to exclude unwanted noises and images from the recording. You can also schedule the recording remotely ahead of time, so it will start even if you forget about the meeting.
There are now even online-based solutions for recording webinars. Some require downloading their apps, and others work by just visiting their site. You'd want to set the recording mode, the format of the video, and start recording. The films recorded in this way are saved on the hard drive.
This application does not require Java, but you will need to install an installation wizard the first time you use the program. Then you can record screen video without any restrictions. This program offers recordings of the highest quality and also the possibility of uploading the recording directly to various platforms such as YouTube.
For users of the Google browser, Screencastify offers an easy-to-use option to record videos of Internet activities. The Chrome extension can be found in the browser toolbar after installation and, in addition to browser recording, also has the option of recording the entire desktop.
In both modes, the audio output is also taken into account. After recording, you can rename the videos, export them in WebM format or upload them to YouTube. The add-on also monitors the frame rate and reports too low rates for the recording.
Since only extensions and apps for the Chrome browser can be installed on the Chromebook, you must download the appropriate app from the Chrome web store. Follow the step below to make a Cisco Webex recording.
Proceed to the Chrome web store
The solutions mentioned here are the most efficient for making audio-video recordings of your Webex meetings, as a host or as an attendee. If you want to record a meeting at Webex, you can do this with the programs or online sites with a simple click of the mouse.
You can access your recordings online. To do this, sign in to your Webex account and go to My Webex, then to My Files, and select My Recordings. Recordings are stored on the server until you delete them, and you can download them from there. However, it may be easier to record the meeting with Movavi Screen Recorder and save it on your computer right away.
Whether you're attending virtual team huddles, client presentations, or brainstorming sessions, recording Webex calls is a game-changer. It eliminates the risk of missing critical information discussed during the conversation.
The meeting host determines how much control you get regarding recording meetings and phone calls. Depending on the setup, you can do the recording automatically. Although, sometimes you'll have to do this manually using the app.
By using Fireflies, you can create a knowledge vault of all your conversations, not just the Webex meetings. Also, Fireflies offers global search and Smart search facilities to help you search easily within your collection of recordings.
Fireflies also offers chatbot assistance with AskFred, the ChatGPT for meetings. Simply open a recording and ask AskFred any questions you have about it. The bot will answer your queries within seconds.
Note that the recordings you see are limited to meetings you scheduled. If you are an alternate host for a particular meeting, you will not see its recording on your Recordings page nor will the system send you an email notification when the recording is ready even if you are the user who started the meeting or the recording. Contact the meeting scheduler if you require a recording for any meeting that you did not schedule.
Thanks for the feedback, but we have already been there and it does not really change anything. I can look back at past recordings and they are pretty much the same. Didn't matter that we had a 5 year old computer running things, or a brand new high end (i7, lots of RAM, SSD HD, 100 up/down internet) computer and networking.
To me there are lots of moving parts in recording, saving and playing back a recording. It would be good to understand what the journey is from recording to playback before attempting any sort of diagnostics or making suggestions.
They are recorded by pressing record in the WebEx application after the meeting is started. The account has 720 selected as video option (which appears to the highest it will go). It is recorded to the WebEx account in the cloud, and played back using the streaming option available in stored recordings. If you download then you only get the presentation and any video associated with the presentation is lost. It is using the default WebEx playback via whichever web browser you are using.
You will be able to change your preferred team and folder destination for all of your Webex recordings from your existing settings by navigating to upload defaults and then choosing your preferred defaults settings.
Once your Webex meeting ends and the cloud recording is fully uploaded to Vimeo, you will receive an email notification that the Webex recording is available on Vimeo. You can now click through to view your Webex recording on Vimeo. You can trim, share, and add comments to your Webex recording just like any other video on Vimeo.
I've got problem with opening webex video on ubuntu-firefox. I need to open webex recording which was sent to me by email, having no permision to download it(to convert to mp4). I am able to connect webex test-meeting: java and libs seems to be ok.
There are two options for recording a WebEx meeting: Network-based recording (Record on Server) with the Network-Based Recorder (NBR) and Local recording. When using Network-based recording, no additional hardware is required. All meeting content is automatically recorded on the WebEx servers and is easily accessible.
