The Postcard Creator helps students learn to identify all the typical parts of a postcard, and then generate their own postcard messages by typing information into templates. Students fill in the address, details on the postcard's artwork, and the postcard message. The finished postcard can then be previewed, edited, and printed. After printing their texts, students can illustrate the front of their postcards in a variety of ways, including drawing a picture, creating a collage of images, or printing and pasting clipart in place.
The tool is easy to use, made even easier with the Postcard Planning Sheet, a printable PDF students can use to draft and revise their work before creating and printing their final postcards on the computer. A postcard measures 6" x 4", or 148mm x 105mm (length x height). This is equivalent to ISO 216 standard paper size A6 and is the most common postcard size sold internationally. PostSnap also offer large postcards, which measure 8" x 6", or 210mm x 148mm and is equivalent to ISO 216 standard paper size A5. All sizes are rounded to the nearest inch.

The price of postcard stamps varies from country to country. In the United States, a stamp for a standard sized 6" x 4" postcard costs 35c from USPS. This price is effective from 27th January 2019. In the UK, it costs 70p for a first class stamp and 61p for a 2nd class stamp for a standard sized 6" x 4" postcard. These prices from Royal Mail are effective from 25th March 2019. You don't pay for the stamps if you use PostSnap web service as we take care of mailing your cards and we include the cost of domestic shipping as standard.
