What's the problem? Describe what went wrong in few words.
Basically GCPad does not work ingame with keyboard and mouse, I believe it is able to detect my keyboard though as it work in the GCPad menu.
Wiimote is fine in detecting and working with both keyboard and mouse.
EDIT 2: I believe i'm having control issues as there is a Geforce Overlay over my dolphin emulator when I launch a game. I don't think that was before and it somehow must have activated.
Hi, for some reason dolphin emulator will not recognise any controls (gamepad or keyboard) when trying to play Gamecube. Ive tried to configure them manually using the Dolphin application (using the F1 key to access), but still cannot get it to recognise anything.
Why do you open dolphin emulator within Applications?
You should just open the games via gameslist in Emulation Station and your controller should then work out-of-the-box (except, there is a compatability issue with Gamesir GS3 bluetooth controller, then this has to be investigated)
I'm trying to build an AI for an NES game using a python script to interact with an emulator. I couldn't really find an API for said emulator (Mesen) so I decided to use OpenCV to look at the screen and somehow simulate keyboard presses to give inputs to the game. However, the two keyboard libraries I found (keyboard and pynput) and the Windows 32 API don't seem to be able to give inputs to the emulator. Text editors can detect the keys pressed using these libraries but the emulator seems to just ignore it. I have tried it with a different GBA emulator (Visual Boy Advance) and that can't detect the keyboard presses either.
I'm using awesome wm but I have a weird issue. Whenever I have dolphin-emu (a qt based gamecube emulator) open, I cannot right click on my desktop or click on anything in the awesome panel. I can still use keyboard shortcuts to switch between tags, but I can't do anything with the mouse except click on things in the dolphin window.
I-PAC (Interface for PC to Arcade Controls) is a range of boards which allow connection of arcade controls such as buttons and joysticks to a USB port on a host system. It was designed around the MAME emulator which supports over 1000 arcade games and can be used with other emulators or any software which requires keyboard or game controller input. It is designed to be used inside an Arcade Games cabinet with the host system also mounted inside, but could just as easily be used with simply a control panel without a cabinet.
You can create a keyboard config in reWASD that will correspond to the basic binds Dolphin has. The easiest and quickest way, however, would be to grab the Dolphin Steam controller config, Apply it in reWASD, and run the needed game in the emulator. You can customize the given config in reWASD to match your needs, too!
Remapping is inevitable: you need to replicate these controls, come up with your own layout. By the way, we have made a basic ePSXe Steam controller config with keyboard binds, so you can try this one as well. Import this config, Apply it (or Apply the config you have made on your own), then launch the emulator and start the game.
