Please mark your calendar for this fun-filled event, invite your
friends, and consider volunteering to help out. Here are the
committees and a brief description of their planned activities, along
with the name of the person(s) to contact:
RAFFLE: We already have 20+ items for the fund-raising raffle. Tickets
will be sold at the event, and you will choose which item(s) you'd
like to win by placing tickets in item-specific containers. The
drawing will take place at the end of the day, and winners will be
contacted by phone if they are not present. If you have something to
donate to the raffle, or if you can help out with the raffle
organizing before or during ¡La Fiesta!, please contact Robyn Bramhall
at north...@gmail.com or 824-0228.
BOOTHS: A limited number of tables will be available for local groups
or businesses to promote or sell their cause, info or wares. The
Graton Green Group's booth will be selling paving bricks, showing park
plans and soliciting ideas for a park name. If you would like to work
at the GGG both or host a sales or informational booth/table at ¡La
Fiesta!, please call Anna Ransome at 829-2781.
FOOD VENDORS: Tasty, hand-held food items will be offered for sale to
attendees. This will be a 'green' event, and vendors will be asked to
join us in recycling and eliminating waste. If you can help find
suitable vendors, please call Rosie Carrillo at 832-1708.
FUN & GAMES: Laura Feahr is chairing the fun and games department, and
she has fun activities planned for all ages - especially kids. An
event highlight will be a pitching clinic, offered by our own
Postmaster, Jim Fleck. Please call Laura at 827-3144 if you can help,
especially on the day of the event.
MUSIC: Cary Fargo heads this committee, and they have plans for live,
mostly-accoustic music to run throughout the event. Contact Cary at
829-2781 if you would like to help set up and organize music for the
day.
GREEN TEAM: This group will make it "easy to be green." Bins will be
provided for compost, recycling and garbage, in order to keep waste to
a minimum. Please contact Kelly Jones at kell...@comcast.net to help
with the green set-up and clean-up for the day.
PUBLICITY: We want everyone in Sonoma County to know about ¡La Fiesta
de las Americas! We need folks to compose and send emails and web
postings, make flyers and signs (in English and Spanish), and install
or post them. Contact HolLynn at 829-9440 to help out with publicity.
