Dear Park Supporters:  If you weren't able to be at the GFPD Board meeting tonight, you can rest assured you were well represented.  The presentation by the community to the board about creating and supporting a park at the old fire house site was, hmmmmmm, what is the best word?  FANTASTIC!  

 

At least 25 people showed up in support of the park, pledging their time and energy and funds.  Those who spoke were so eloquent and articulated the reasons that we need a park beautifully, as well as expressed gratitude to the district for their years of work to keep us safe and help us out in time of need. 

 

You all can be proud, as I am, to belong to such a wonderful community group.  Thank you to everyone who came out tonight. 

 

Now we just have to continue doing our best to raise funds so that we can make our park a reality.  Have you sent in your brick sponsorship form yet?  All donations are tax deductible.

I agree it was a great group.  Hollynn, your letter was wonderful and the other folks that spoke were very moving.  I was very proud to be in the audience.  I await the Board's decision.
