This might be a possibility for a grant for the park. Nancy

Good work. With branches in Sebastopol and Forestville Graton is
certainly part of their reach.

The Graton Community Services District conducted a survey to establish
income levels for Graton in order to qualify for an assistance grant.
You might be able to use their data to qualify as a "low-and moderate-
income community."

A community newspaper in Roseland landed a grant from a health
organization a few years ago by showing that their paper connected the
community thereby positively affecting overall health of the residents.

What good or at least forward feeling news on such a dreary day. Thanks to both of you. Laura

This is, indeed, a wonderful idea.  Who would like to contact this organization and start the ball rolling for the Graton Green Group?  That indeed, would be good news on a dreary day - someone taking on a little piece of the work to be done to create a park in Graton.

Thank you, Nancy.  This is a good lead.  We'll be getting our charity status in January, so will be pursing this source then.

Happy Holidays!

Hollynn,

I'll keep looking and let you know when I find something.  Good work about the nonprofit status, that is hard.
