Hello,

Graziers are encouraged to participate in Land Stewardship Project’s last pasture walk of the 2023 season! Please join us for an afternoon pasture walk with Alan Bedtka at 17805 10th St SE Dover, Minn., on Wednesday, November 1st, from 1pm to 2:30 p.m.  The focus of the walk is on grazing summer annuals.  Plans have changed a bit with the weather conditions. There will be general discussion on equipment and returns on investment.

Alan raises a mix of crops, hay and livestock. The beef operation consists of cow-calf pairs, buying and selling stockers and grass finishing a few animals a year.  Alan incorporates as many soil health practices as he can, when he can. He has been able to extend his grazing to up to 280 days/year.

Park along the township road.  Watch for LSP event, registration and parking signs. This event is FREE and open to all livestock producers.  Hot cocoa, hot cider and cookies will be available. Please bring a mug. A $5 donation is appreciated. This program will take place rain, snow or shine.  Bring a friend! Click here to register for this program.

Hope to see you there!
