Hi Alex,

Please join us for an afternoon pasture walk at Holst Dairy Farm*** near
Lake City, Minn., on Thursday, Oct. 19, from noon to 1:30 p.m. This is a small, family-run, dairy operation. The focus of the walk will be on managing pasture and feed during drought conditions.
There will be general discussion on nutrient management, farm resiliency and why it's good to question your ag co-op's pest management plans. Jeremy Holst will describe
what he would be doing in a "normal" year and what is being done under current conditions.

Jeremy grew up on the farm and took over running the operation with his mom, Maren Holst, when his father passed away. The farm is a mix
of woodlands, permanent pasture, and a corn-hay rotation. He rents 100 acres adjacent to his farm. Jeremy and his wife, Jess, have two small children. He has backed off "intensive" management of the farm after recognizing the value of time.

***We will likely be parking in a field, please watch for event, registration and parking signs. This
event is FREE and open to all.  Snacks will be provided; a $5 donation is appreciated. This program will take place rain or shine. We will be walking through pastures across mostly level terrain.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 19th!
