I wanted to share this great note by Karen Vale of Cape Cod Bay Watch, who I helped to do a (completely legal, FAA-notified) mapping of the Pilgrim nuclear plant last weekend.

CCBW's been pushing for tighter permitting for the construction of a new waste containment area, and this demonstrates that they have the ability to watchdog the plant with aerial photos -- from kites! We're hoping this will apply pressure, especially given how close the storage area is to the water (and potential storm surge).

Please circulate this; it's a great example of Public Lab kite mapping techniques being used in environmental watchdogging!
