Why Webinar?
Mountain ecosystems offer unique
habitat to a rich diversity of flora and fauna spread along the mountain
latitudes with varying climatic and biophysical conditions. At the same time,
millions of local communities directly and indirectly depend on these natural
resources and services they provide. The role of mountains has a global
significance making an impact on the other ecosystems, global climate
conditions and national economies. This webinar is aimed at raising awareness
about the current issues related to resource conservation and management in
mountain ecosystems and in other regions, which will help obtain a better
