Dear friends,

The call for poll workers has been answered--thanks to all of you who
are helping. I'm delighted at the good coverage we will have at the
polls all day tomorrow.

Thanks to those of you who have told me you've already voted. If you
prefer the traditional Tuesday, that's fine too--just please make sure
you do it! And please urge all your friends and neighbors to do their
duty. Turnout is going to be key. According to this morning's Chapel
Hill Herald, early turnout has been an appalling 1.5 percent of
registered voters. That's not a good sign about tomorrow. Help prove
the pundits wrong! Do your part to get the vote out.

Going into tomorrow, I'm proud to have the following endorsements--six
out of six of the organizations that issued endorsements:

Sierra Club
Independent Weekly
Chapel Hill News
Daily Tar Heel
Hank Anderson Breakfast Club
Friends of Affordable Housing of Orange County

And most of all, I'm proud to have the support of all of you. Thank
you, thank you. If I am returned to office, I promise to work as hard
as have for the first four years to manage Chapel Hill's growth in
ways that hold on to the spirit of the place that we all love.

Please join me for a wonderful *victory* celebration tomorrow night at
8 p.m. at Crook's Corner--lots of great food, cash bar, and election
results as fast as we can get them. Help celebrate your own part as
Grassroots for Greene! It's been a great campaign, and I thank every
one of you very, very much.

But first, vote!

Cheers,
Sally
