Hi,

I want Load Public Transit Data. I have used these instructions:

$ gs_gtfsdb_build redding_gtfs.zip redding.gtfsdb
$ gs_import_gtfs redding.gdb redding.gtfsdb

The first is ok, but the second no.
After
"constructing service calendar for timezone ..."

The error is: Segmentation fault.

I think that it is caused by a lot of data of GTFS of interest area.
With gdb the error is launched by servicecalendar.c

There are errors in calendar.txt?
Someone can help me?

Bye, Monica.

I am loading GTFS data of Torino(Italy), but these data aren't public.

Is there any problem about "Europe/Rome" timezone?

Can you help me?!?!
Thank you very much.
Bye Monica

Sorry, I observed that calendar.txt is very big (about 1700 rows),
if I delete many lines in this file,
gs_import_gtfs doesn't generate Segmentation Fault.
Is there any limitation on the file calendar.txt?

Bye Monica

Hi,

It's hard to guess without more detail. It looks like all the service
period stuff uses linked lists, so I see no obvious hard limit on the
number of entries.

The problem disappears when you cut down the file, so it's either the
number of entries or the contents of one of the entries. If you can't
share the feed, you'll have to do some trial and error on your end.

Cut the file in half or thirds (but keeping the column headers each
time), then try loading the feed with each piece individually. See if
each piece loads individually, or only one of them causes the crash.
Keep any error messages however cryptic.

Hello Monica
are Matteo (italian too) and I stumbled on the same issue of your segmentation fault while importing GTFS.

Could you help me understand how to fix it? Were you able to solve it?

Thanks in advance.

Ciao. Matteo.
